On Sunday 13 April, police, emergency service and health care teams joined blue_ribbon_foundation for the annual Angela Taylor Memorial Walk/Run held at Albert Park Lake. ⁣ ⁣ At 1.00pm on Thursday 27 March 1986, a car bomb exploded outside the police complex on Russell Street Melbourne. As a result, a young Constable Angela Rose Taylor took the full force of the explosion and died in hospital a few weeks later on April 20. ⁣ ⁣ Committed to helping others in the community, our police and emergency services continue to demonstrate those same values Angela did. ⁣ ⁣ This year, the letrvic community fielded a record number of participants for the event and were honoured to join hundreds of their colleagues and their families, friends and fur babies in a walk around the lake.⁣ ⁣ The Memorial Run/Walk continues to be held in honour of Angela and all Victoria Police members who lost their lives serving and protecting our community.
