Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer provided an update on Monday on the condition of a city employee that was brutally attacked by a stranger on Friday. Tim Smith, a 20 year electrician for the City of Fresno was working on an electrical box when the suspect walked up behind him and hit him in the head with a metal object. Smith fell unconscious and smashed his head into the concrete. The suspect, 26-year-old Dyllan Padavona, was arrested on Saturday and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
