Egmont Key State Park reopened on April 11, 2025 🏝️
⛴️The wildlife refuge is only accessible by boat or ferry. We’ve made the trip with both thepelicanstpeteboat and hubbardsmarina.
🌊It IS a remote island with NO drinking water. Bring water, food, and sunscreen. Leave only footprints. ❤️
Egmont Key has a complex history that includes a lighthouse built in 1858, the Third Seminole War, the Civil War, and the Spanish-American War.
🔔 A note from fl.stateparks 🔔
Structures near the lighthouse area remain closed to the public. Please follow all instructions from park staff, adhere to posted signage, and avoid closed areas.
