According to court documents, Cody Dewayne Parsons of Brierfield was indicted April 7 on first-degree sodomy and first-degree sex abuse of a child younger than 12. Sodomy is a Class-A felony punishable by by a minimum of 20 years to 99 years in prison. Sex abuse of a child younger than 12 is a Class-B felony punishable by a minimum of 10 years to 20 years in prison. Parsons was arrested April 11 and remains in the Bibb County Jail on no bond.
