Once upon a time, there were nine golf holes spread across this private little island off the North Shore.
The Misery Island Club, a founding member of the Massachusetts Golf Association (1903), did not, however, stand the test of time.
The seaside holes laid out by architect Alexander Findlay, as beautiful as they were, fell victim to a 1,001 year curse.
