ICYMI: BC Wheelchair Tennis Athletes were in action from April 11-14! Thomas Venos finished as runner-up in Men’s Singles on Monday at the ITF Futures Premier Racquet Club Wheelchair Classic. Thomas battled hard against top-seed Connor Stroud in a three-set thriller to end play in Markham! A great early season result as Thomas on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour at the first Canadian event on tour. Thomas is currently ranked 40th in the ITF Rankings and is the highest ranked Men’s Open player ever from BC! Fellow BC athletes Patrick Levis, Se-Youn Moon, Barry Henderson and John Chen also competed in Markham where Patrick celebrated his 50th birthday and John balanced hitting serves and hitting the books as a dedicated student-athlete! Congratulations as well to Barry who has broken back into the Top 100 of the ITF World Rankings Photo Credit: Kai Schrameyer #WheelchairTennis #WCTennis #TeamBC #Athlete #ParaSport #ITF #CanadianTennis #TennisCanada #uniqlowheelchairtennistour
