For this week’s Sony Alpha Female challenge, the theme was red. I spent all week wondering what I could possibly do for this theme. Red isn’t normally a color I work with so this was a struggle for me. It wasn’t until I sat down today and listened to Rose Colored Boy by Paramore that it hit me. When I was younger I was told I view things with rose colored glasses. This is my way of representing how sometimes I used to just shield myself from reality and focus on only the good and ignore certain things. Fun fact -I took this photo with no studio. I just have a super simple pop up backdrop that’s white on one side and black on the other. Easy peasy! 😂 I used two Godox Litemons LP1200R panels to illuminate myself and add some red behind me. Keeping it real simple for my own self portraits saves me so much time and a little bit of sanity. 😅 The rest is photoshop which has been my faithful companion for as long as I can remember.
