LIONS EARN HOME POOL TRIUMPS: The jserra.swimmingdiving Boys and Girls teams each enjoyed successful showings in their home pool on Wednesday. On the boys side, the Lions defeated the St. John Bosco Braves 90.5-79.5 in a Trinity League battle. Junior Nolan Baker was a two-event winner, as he posted a CIF consideration time in the 50 Freestyle (22.04) and won the 500 Freestyle (5:01.14). Senior Taylor Bell (54.10) claimed victory in 100 Butterfly, with junior Connor Colman (49.69) touching the wall first in the 100 Freestyle. The duo teamed with Baker and sophomore Joseph Wraith to take home the win in the 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:28.15, while also combining forces with Baker and senior Wyatt Boyd earn the win in the 400 Freestyle Relay in 3:20.04. On the girls’ side, the Lions dispatched the Crean Lutheran Saints 104-24. Senior Ava Withey won the 200 Individual Medley in a CIF consideration time of 2:13.37.
