This past weekend, the Africa Women in Sports Initiative (AWISI, africanwomeninsportsinitiative ) was officially launched in Nairobi, Kenya! 150+ amazing women from over 20 African countries came together to celebrate a movement 6 years in the making. Built by women, for women to empower, unite and elevate women in sports across the continent. Founded by Dr. Mariam Mpaata (mariam_mellosiime_mpaata), alongside co-founders like Carol Radull (carolradull) and Cynthia Mumbo (iamcmumbo), AWISI is here to shift the game.
