Columbia voters cast ballots on Tuesday, April 8 to vote in the municipal election. Voter turnout reached 25.18%, a 1.68% increase from the 2022 mayoral election.
All incumbents on the ballot won, including Mayor Barbara Buffaloe, who defeated challengers Blair Murphy and Tanya Heath.
Incumbent Nick Foster won the race for Columbia City Council’s Fourth Ward, defeating candidate Ron Graves. Jacque Sample, who ran unopposed, was elected to the Third Ward.
The two empty School Board seats were filled by incumbent Board President Suzette Waters and newcomer Erica Dickson, who were elected over challenger Ken Rice.
