“May these brilliant windows serve to keep before the minds and hearts of those who pray here the Jesuit way of looking out at the world, encouraging one to live life for the greater glory of God.”
Those were among the words by Assistant to the President Fr. Richard Zanoni, S.J., earlier this school year as we celebrated a special Mass with members of the Class of 1968 to dedicate the beautiful stained glass windows of our CHS Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
The three windows, funded by the Class of 1968 through its Golden Jubilee 50th Reunion Class Gift, depict Madonna Della Strada (or Our Lady of the Way), St. Ignatius Loyola and St. Peter Canisius. They are visually stunning in the chapel and also from the outside of our building next to the Blue Doors, particularly at night.
The windows were installed in 2019 and have become a beautiful addition to our campus (the dedication ceremony was postponed several times, including by the Covid-19 pandemic).
