Say arrivederci to Neapolitan pizzas in Norwalk. Pyra Pizzeria owners Steve and Deb Taylor plan to close the restaurant after six years in business. Fans of the puffy crusted pizzas baked in an 800-degree oven from Italy for up to two minutes have until April 27 to order one final pie.
“After 6-plus years, Deb and Steve have decided it’s time “hang up the aprons” and make retirement a reality. We will miss all of the friends we have made along the way, and we will especially miss all of our servers, pizza makers and ‘keepers of the kitchen.’ You are the best!” the couple wrote on Facebook.
The Taylors hinted that a new owner already “purchased the building and plans to open a new restaurant within just a few weeks of our closing, so keep a look-out for that announcement.”
