From the smoke bombs to the diverse rhythms coming from the music section all night, it’s just one of those things you have to experience at least once in your life. As star saxophonist Claire put it so perfectly, “If you don’t enjoy this atmosphere, you don’t like soccer.” Agreed. And even though the team on the pitch made us wait for the winner, it made it all that much sweeter to spend an extra 30 minutes with the_byb and get to celebrate a last-gasp goal to advance in this Open Cup. Of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without being able to crown a champion for our signed team ball contest, which laurenfox.realtor took home after the match. What an evening. One of those that will stay in our hearts forever and lift us on the 3-day journey back home.
