First and foremost, I want to thank God for making this dream a reality. April 17, 2025 — 4/17/25 — is a date that will be etched in my heart forever. The day I reached the big leagues. This moment didn’t come easy. From defecting from Cuba at 16 years old, to enduring countless tryouts in the Dominican Republic just for a chance to be seen — the road has been long, uncertain, and full of sacrifice. To my family, thank you for your endless love and support — and above all, the sacrifices you made so I could chase this dream. To my parents, your unconditional love has been my foundation.
