y’all probably didn’t miss my book reviews but I did 😭 This is book 6 of 25 for the #tfbwlreadingchallenge (yes I’m behind, no I’m not upset). The City We Became by N K Jemisin “B, if you get killed, or eaten, or… squiggleized, or whateverthefuck, I’m gonna kill you” (386) I don’t know if this quote really encompasses the story but I laughed so hard when I read it. I was already consistently reading the book but I couldn’t put it down at this point. The title definitely embodies the story. When I found this book, I didn’t really know what to expect. I didn’t read any background about it; I just heard it was a good read an ran with it. I won’t give too many details but it’s a sci-fi adventure with some very relatable characters. It was beautiful to see how everything connected. I was little confused at the beginning but it all came together. It was also a very easy/quick read - only 488 pages!
