#NUSoC Prof. Barbara Butts is co-teaching Theatre 390: Arts Leadership & Innovation Collaboration with fellow Theatre Management professor Diane Claussen from DePaul University again this Spring! This week, their joint class of future theatre leaders took a field trip to the Lookingglass Theatre Company and met with General Manager Sarah Burnham and Director of Production Nikolaj Sorensen. Students toured the facilities, learned the inner workings of the company, and discussed a few of Lookingglass’s challenges and opportunities. They will use their findings from this trip, mini-lectures, in-class presentations and discussions, guest lectures, and field exercises to craft a student “consulting project” by the end of this quarter. Students will also visit Bramble Theatre Company and attend an Artistic Panel with the League of Chicago Theatres before the quarter is over. Great work, #Wildcats!
