CORK '22⚡️ Very proud of my performance on the event despite the last few races. Friday was a dream race ✨️ Clean races, no drama (at least for me :) Unlike at FORK, I had a very clear strategy before every race and I was very consistent. I also learned how to defend my position, both in starts and whilst racing, and how to plan an overtaking. My starts, maneuvers, roundings and downwind on my 21m FS VMG kite are where I make my gains, But I have to work on getting better upwinds. Sunday was a harsher day. The wind was unpredictable and kept fluctuating up and down. The conditions were very harsh on the equipment and I retired from the last 4 races to preserve the intergrality of my equipment, very aware it would cost me my ranking for the event. That decision was difficult and troubling to me, but now, looking back, I'm proud of having made that decision. Started the event with a smile and left with a bigger one. Thank you to the racing community for organizing such a nice event....
