Racing Through Difficulty: At 11, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a life altering moment that forced my family and me to learn a whole new way of living. Counting carbs, managing insulin, and navigating unpredictable energy levels became daily challenges. I had to put my racing dreams on hold. But I wasn’t willing to give up. A year later, I returned to the track not just as a driver, but as someone learning to balance high performance racing with diabetes management. It wasn’t easy, but I adapted. I won four go-kart championships, signed with a pro Mazda team at 16, and raced for a BMW team by 17 including events like the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Since then, I’ve competed as a Lamborghini Junior Driver in endurance races like the 24 Hours of Spa where I not only battle fatigue and pressure, but also monitor blood sugar mid-race.
