This is a clip from a documentary I made back in 2007 with my great friend winstonfisher1. It was called America the Punchline — a project all about how the world perceived America, told through the eyes of international comedians. This clip is with my good buddy and comedian adventuremick
We filmed some of the greatest comedians in the world during the process — legends like Lewis Black, Rhys Darby, Steve Hughes, Jim Jeffries, and hundreds more.
Huge thanks to people like Paul Provenza who helped produce it, and incredible editors like Greg Nash and Emery Emery who worked on it.
I was (and still am) incredibly proud of it. Unfortunately, for financial reasons, we couldn’t get it fully finished. There is a version floating around on YouTube, but I believe it has some copyright issues.
I’d still love to properly finish it one day — especially because so many of the jokes and points still resonate today.
The resolution definitely needs an upgrade too (hello, 2007 tech). I hear there ...
