As a freshman, I was eager to connect with ambitious women who looked like me and understood the experience of being a black woman at a predominantly white institution. Greek life became that space for me, offering opportunities to grow, take on leadership roles, and step outside of my comfort zone. I’ve always been passionate about community engagement and making a positive impact, and through Greek life, I’ve been able to turn that passion into action by participating in initiatives that uplift the community and bring students together. Joining Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was a transformative experience that connected me with a powerful network of women who continue to inspire and support me.
