Ann Sullivan, who died in 2008 at 89, spent years thinking about what happened to a Portland family that disappeared on Dec. 7, 1958. On that day, Kenneth and Barbara Martin and their three daughters climbed into the family car and drove off into the Columbia River Gorge to collect Christmas greenery. They never came back.
