Let’s head to the Sunshine State for our Army JROTC #Cadetoftheweek☀️ Meet Shayne Higginson, a senior at Fort Myers Senior High School in Fort Myers, Florida. Higginson joined #ArmyJROTC and has found countless opportunities within the program to help shape her as a leader and expand her horizons. “I have been able to build my leadership skills, join teams I had never known about, and participate in incredible events like the National Flight Academy. It has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for service, encouraging me to give back to the community and opening the door for a future in the military—something I had never considered a possibility before.” Higginson is currently the Battalion Commander for the Greenwave Battalion. She’s led the Color Guard and Drill Team, competing in state competitions for both. Higginson has also participated in marksmanship, JLAB, and drone competitions.
