We’re heading to the Queen City in North Carolina today for our Army JROTC #Cadetoftheweek 👑 Meet Kaitlyn Yu, a senior at Hopewell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Yu is the Hopewell Titan Battalion commander. She joined #ArmyJROTC to better understand her family’s military legacy and to be challenged. “Leadership means taking action when no one else will, and I hold myself to that standard in everything I do. Nothing motivates me more than seeing my cadets grow into confident, capable individuals as it is proof that I can continue to grow as well. Watching them push past their limits, embrace challenges, and develop into leaders reminds me that leadership is about mentorship and service, not just direction.” She is a varsity swimmer, the Rifle Team Captain, and trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
