Today we’re headed to the “Land of Lincoln” for our #ArmyJROTC #Cadetoftheweek 🎉 Meet Jerome Abella, a senior at Waukegan High School in Waukegan, Illinois. Abella joined the course his freshman year to fulfill his gym credit. Four years later he is now the Cadet Chief of Staff for his program, organizing large scale events for his 350 fellow cadets in the regiment. “As a leader of the Bulldog Regiment, I’m motivated by both intrinsic values and external influences. I feel a profound sense of responsibility to manage events and take care of my peers, and underclassmen. The feedback and encouragement of my instructors and peers reinforces the obligation of fulfilling this role.” Abella keeps a busy schedule outside his responsibilities in JROTC.
