It’s time to introduce another standout #CadetOfTheWeek 🎉 Meet Maggie Murphy, a freshman majoring in Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland. Murphy joined #ArmyROTC because she was interested in the challenges and leadership training. “It has challenged my physical and mental ability to be a better and stronger version of myself, gaining more knowledge and a positive outlook on daily life.” Not only is Murphy a scholar and a leader, but she’s also an athlete on Maryland’s gymnastics team. She loves to stay active and volunteer within her local community. Murphy’s family is highlighted as her biggest source of leadership inspiration and strongest supporters. “Through my father, I have learned how to not give up on tough times. My mother is a source of calm confidence; knowing where to push hard and where to slow down is something I have learned from her. My sisters have challenged me to take up greater challenges and risks without the fear of failure or backing out.” ...
