On April 5, our Interim Executive Director Portia Allen-Kyle spoke before over 100,000 people at the flagship HandsOff! rally in D.C. In front of the Washington Monument, Color Of Change staff, members, and everyday citizens gathered to tell Trump and Musk to take their #HandsOff our future, our livelihoods, and our democracy. The fight is far from over. But as Portia said in her speech, we will continue to resist with joy. Our joy is resilience. Our joy is defiance. Our joy is the sustenance that keeps us going in the fight for freedom and justice. In community, togetherness, and collectively imagining a just and equitable world, we survive against all odds. We thank everyone who participated in the D.C. rally, our partner events, and local events all over the country.
