Here are some photographs of a small field very close to my parent’s house in Bavaria. This little piece of nature in an otherwise very urban neighborhood has always felt like a refuge to me. It used to be a corn field and some of earliest memories are connected to me walking in that field. In my photographic work, I like to revisit spaces that hold emotional value to me. I have created this series of images over the last two years, trying to capture the fields' different facets. This field still feels like a refuge to me and it has become almost a ritual for me to visit it when I'm back home at my parent's house." - Valentin
