The analyzer leverages a robust enhancement mechanism, where blue pump light and Raman scattered light from hydrogen reflect many times in a multipass cavity to significantly improve detection sensitivity. Capable of detecting very low concentrations of hydrogen gas in the air, the device could be optimized to detect other analytes, which could be beneficial for medical applications.
