On April 17th, a mass shooting at Florida State University left college students shaken and scared, but further motivated to enact change. FSU student Sami Mason was actually advocating for stronger gun safety laws at the Florida State Capital when the shooting occurred while her friends sought shelter in place after fleeing from their campus.
