Two men in Mumbai were arrested for harassing South Korean livestreamer Hyojeong Park, known as Mhyochi, during a live broadcast.⁠ ⁠ The incident, which occurred back in 2022 in the Khar neighborhood, involved one man grabbing her arm and attempting to pull her onto his motorbike, as well as trying to kiss her cheek. Despite being visibly shaken, Ms. Park managed to walk away, but the men continued to follow her, asking for her phone number. A fan who was a couple blocks away and watching the stream eventually came and intervened, allowing her to seek safety in a nearby hotel.⁠ ⁠ She later shared a clip of the incident on Instagram, stating she tried her best "not to escalate the situation." While some Twitch commenters blamed her for being "too friendly," others defended her and urged her to report the incident.
