This morning, TanenbaumCHAT gathered at Beth Emeth Synagogue to commemorate Yom HaShoah. The theme of this year’s ceremony, “Women of Valour,” was beautifully brought to life through words, music, dance, and song. We commend our Yom HaShoah committee for their creativity, care, and thoughtfulness in crafting such a meaningful experience. We were deeply honoured to welcome Holocaust survivor Andrew Rottmann — father of Mr. Rottman and grandfather to Mattan (Grade 12) and Benjamin (Grade 10) — to our assembly. His presence, alongside his wife Kathy and two generations of their family, powerfully reinforced our enduring message of hope and the strength of the Jewish people.
