For the
#RipCurlProBellsBeach, over 20 volunteers led by wadawurrung and greatoceanroadauthority came together with WSL One Ocean for a restoration activation to support coastal access efforts on Wadawurrung Country near Djarrak.
Together we:
🌱 Brushmatted 100+ meters of informal access tracks to reduce erosion and protect cliffside vegetation
🪵 Hauled over 12 truckloads of brush to restore the area
🌿 Removed 0.9 hectares of invasive Coast Tea Tree and Sallow Wattle at Jan Juc
These actions not only enhance public safety and preserve biodiversity, but also help protect this break for generations to come.
We acknowledge Wadawurrung People as the Traditional Owners of the land featured and thank their Elders past and present for taking great care of Country. We extend this Acknowledgement and pay our respect to all First Peoples.
This project is endorsed by the unoceandecade.
