The Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, or BAMPFA, has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding due to the Trump administration’s cuts to museum and library service grants. In an executive order issued March 14, the Trump administration cut federal funding to several programs that provide institutional grants. This includes the Institute of Museum and Library Services, which administers the Save America’s Treasures grant program — which BAMPFA receives grant money from.
