It was also humbling, and the former competitive athlete in me was continually cursing being on the wrong end of the field for almost every try. Grateful for the opportunity to be out here showcasing this sport. @rugbyevolved , the first professional women’s rugby league in the US, forged from WPL roots, deserves your attention not because it is new, or because it is first, or because everyone watches women’s sports—though those are excellent reasons. You should pay attention because what’s on display by these six teams is raw athleticism and passion, spurred on by an unrelenting drive and unbridled by ego.
