An exciting new chapter is set to begin at Northwood with the introduction of eight Houses, and house colours! The process saw much engagement and deliberation with Old Boys, staff and learners - ensuring the preservation of tradition, along with consideration for our school's ethos and brand. The outcome saw Kings and Bishops remain in name, with a colour change bringing new energy to both. Crusaders falls away as a house name, but remains as the collective term when referring to all boarders and boarding activities, keeping the Crusaders identity strong! Knights now becomes Cavaliers - represented by a mounted Knight - simply to avoid confusion with our first team "Knights" and references to Old Boys, also known as "Knights". The introduction of 5 new house names, which were considered and chosen for the characteristics they represent, are as follows: Paladins, Sentinels, Barons, Heralds, Dukes along with Cavaliers, Bishops and Kings.
