This April, we joined the NationalParkService, TAPSorg, and USAA to welcome 25 Gold Star survivors to Zion National Park for a powerful weekend of healing in nature. Through camping, hiking, volunteering, and connecting around the campfire, these survivors honored their loved ones’ legacy while forging new friendships and rediscovering strength in the outdoors. 🌲 Highlights included receiving lifetime Gold Star America the Beautiful passes, helping remove 5.5 pounds of trash on a ranger-led volunteer project, hiking Angel’s Landing, and taking part in a meditative riverside walk to reflect on their journey through grief. Zion was just the beginning.
