Either pay the $2.50 fare to ride SEPTA or face a fine of up to $300! That's the message to riders as the transportation authority rolls out a new strategy to crack down on the high rate of fare evaders. Last week, SEPTA started increasing patrols at stations. Since then, they say they've seen an increase in sales. Over the next few months, you can expect to see additional officers on duty from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at certain stations.
