Outkast and The White Stripes are among the artists set to be into the the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for 2025. They are joined by Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and Joe Cocker.⁠ ⁠ Artists become eligible for inclusion 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording with a panel of around 1200 people deciding who makes the cut. Naturally, as much discussion goes on who doesn't make the grade each year as who does. Those missing out this year include the Manchester bands Oasis and New Order/Joy Division. Mariah Carey has also been snubbed for the second year in a row.
