The wreck happened just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, on Alabama Highway 76 near the 4-mile marker less than a mile northeast of Childersburg. Andy C. Walton, 77, was critically injured when the sedan in which he was a passenger was hit by another sedan driven by 32-year-old Jerome D. Kelley of Vincent.
