Leadership 1.0 - Principles of Fellowship;It Starts Here, with Your Character” Yesterday, the Professional Development Section delivered Leadership 1.0 - Principles of Followership to Recruit Class 159. By design, this course is delivered on week two of recruit school. The purpose is twofold. First, we teach our newest employees and future leaders the many elements of followership. Second, it’s an opportunity to engage our recruits and understand their perspectives on the concept of followership. Organizations often teach their personnel how to become better leaders; however, what is missing is the importance and relevance of being an effective follower.
