LIONS PREPARE FOR LEAGUE FINALS: The jserra.swimmingdiving Girls team readied themselves for Friday’s showdown with their fellow league peers at the Trinity League Prelims on Tuesday at JSerra Catholic High School. Senior Sydney Willson turned in the top swim of the day in the 500 Freestyle, as she touched the wall in a CIF Automatic qualifying time of 4:57.69, finishing less than half a second behind the top qualifier. Willson (1:52.82), senior Ava Withey (1:53.33), senior Caroline Powell (1:53.69), and senior Elle Treska (1:55.61) all achieved CIF consideration times in the 200 Freestyle. Powell (57.32) and Treska (59.83) turned in CIF consideration times in the 100 Butterfly, with Withey (53.32) also hitting the CIF consideration time standard in the 100 Freestyle. Junior Andrea Bintintan recorded a CIF consideration time of 25.40 in the 50 Freestyle.
