Mechanics aside… I like this mentality The more I’ve studied teacherman, the more I’ve realized he simultaneously teaches a mentality. Recognize a hittable pitch and let it eat This reminds me of last offseason while making an adjustment that was “posture over the plate”… I was initially worried about handling anything up in the zone by committing to that adjustment. The hitting coach, a former big leaguer, said something to the effect of “bro you’re not just gonna swing under the ball, you’ll still hit it” There’s a deeper meaning… We tell our body to do all these things when trying to make a swing change, but is it always 100% literal? It’s all based on the fact that while you’re gonna keep those thoughts, execute your feels… you’re still gonna “swing and hit the ball” at the end of the day… Human body is crazy.
