“The biggest thing about Howard is that I’ve been able to give and get back.” That’s what graduating senior computer information systems major Chidera Dimkpa says about The Mecca as she reflects on her time here. As president of the School of Business Student Council, Dimpka has led a team that helped establish an entrepreneurship incubator program. This team also established a “serenity room” in the School of Business to help students prioritize their mental health. In addition to her studies and leadership roles, she landed internships with AEA Investors in New York and with Haveli Investments. After graduation, she will return to Texas to join Haveli, a private equity firm that invests in high-quality tech companies.
