Most days while filming America’s Test Kitchen, The Next Gen in #Boston, I brought my daughter to set with me. This season, Coco watched me light up in front of the camera as host, and hold it down behind as exec producer, too. With everyone on set around us, it’s still just me and Monaco—building something together, even if she doesn’t know it yet. I grew up watching my own mom work for everything. She started on an assembly line for IBM, and worked her way up to front desk receptionist within two years. She taught me that independence isn’t handed down—it’s modeled. And that the most valuable part of work isn’t the grind, it’s what that grind gives you the freedom to do. Now I get to show Coco what it means to work with purpose, to trust your voice in rooms you once felt too small for, and to build relationships that matter more than titles ever could. It brings me joy to work to build a life. One where my daughter gets to see what power looks like—kind, steady, and undeniable. ...
