To close off Earth Month, Holland Bloorview staff, students and volunteers participated in a variety of fun and interactive events promoting sustainable, eco-friendly living during #EarthWeek last week. Organized by the hospital’s Environmental Sustainability Task Force (ESTF), some of the activities included a recycling workshop, scavenger hunt, as well as the opportunity for clients and families to explore a waste collection vehicle. A record total of 14 kilograms of trash were picked up in this year’s community clean-up event, surpassing last year’s total of six kilograms.
