A downtown Pittsboro business is preparing for an important milestone while juggling a financial reorganization. Havoc Brewing Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 25, according to a report by the Triangle Business Journal, amid the challenges of rising interest rates on their federal small business loan and strains on the supply chain. Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows for a company to restructure its operations and borrowing while maintaining control of its assets — with the West Street business’ founder Michael Pipkin saying it plans to stay open during the changes.
