The honest reality is that I was secretly hoping and expecting a few more, but all in all, 19 feels like a decent starting number. Preparing myself for the attrition in the coming days, starting with a phone call tomorrow to let me know how many of these eggs were mature, and how many fertilized. (And then next week, how many survived 5 days to the blastocyst stage. And then a week after THAT, how many of those embryos came back from testing as genetically healthy & potentially viable.)
