i moved to cleveland a year ago today. every new year i've shared a compilation of my photos because i'm really proud of my photography—but probably for the first time since i was in college, this past year i actually filmed more of my surroundings than photographed. being here pushed me to develop in an area i didn't feel confident in, and i'm really thankful for that.
so this isn't a 2022 reel (i don't even know how to make one of those & editing gives me hives i stg), i'm just considering it a journal entry for any time my imposter syndrome bugs me, and i need encouragement to just get better at my own pace.
i can see exactly how i want every photo to turn out in my head, and struggling with being a perfectionist has really stunted my growth in art— feeling like i shouldn't/couldn't share something because it just didn't look "right" or wouldn't fit into whatever trend was most popular. a lot of these clips aren't very good! but i look at them and see where i can improve this year...
