Seahawks QB Jalen Milroe said HC Mike Macdonald asked him to start using virtual reality technology to work on reading progressions and timing, similar to what Jayden Daniels used last year.
“Me and my new head coach [Mike Macdonald], we talked about doing that. So, from now until Game 1, I’m going to utilize [virtual reality],” Milroe said.
Daniels used virtual reality consistently and credits the technology with helping him progress as a signal caller.
VR can simulate plays and allow players to get reps by going through reads and progressions rather than just watching film.
The Commanders were the only NFL team to utilize the German company Cognilize’s VR last season, and now more teams are following suit.
