What does it mean to be “Made in the Mecca?” 🦬 That was the theme of this year’s SpringFest, and Howard students celebrated the university’s culture and legacy and proved that being made in the Mecca is a blessing that keeps on giving. As Brooklynn Tucker describes, SpringFest is “for students, by students,” meaning that students run the show. From pitching sponsor decks to being the creative director of the fashion show to sharing the stage with today’s top music artists, Howard students showcased their skills and talents that have been cultivated and celebrated at The Mecca. “Whether you’re a baby Bison, Big Bison, or Bison enthusiast, to be made in the Mecca is to grow alongside the future while being inspired and encouraged by the past,” wrote Zora Johnson.
